Defence Ministry on SPPI: Registration Temporarily Postponed
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian Ministry of Defence has postponed the registration for the Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI).
Brigadier General TNI Rico Ricardo Sirait, the Head of Information at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defence, stated that the government is currently coordinating across ministries and institutions.
“We would like to inform that the SPPI registration is still temporarily postponed, as the government is conducting discussions across ministries and institutions, including with the State Secretariat, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, and the Ministry of Cooperatives,” said Rico, when contacted by Kompas.com on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
“But there is also the possibility of assigning SPPI to other flagship government programmes, including adjustments to status and placement mechanisms,” he added.
Therefore, Rico emphasised that information regarding the recruitment schedule, requirements, registration mechanisms, and assignment positions is still in the finalisation stage and will be officially announced.
Meanwhile, a post on the Instagram social media platform informed about the national recruitment for Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI) for the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives (Kopdes).
It also explained the benefits, duties, and several requirements related to the selection, stating that the recruitment schedule would begin in June 2026.
However, the post was found not to originate from the official account of the Ministry of Defence, which oversees Kopdes.
