Defence Ministry Insists SPPI Basic Training Does Not Involve Excessive Physical Activity

The Ministry of Defence has emphasised that the basic education and training for the Sarjana Penggerak Pembangunan Indonesia (SPPI), or prospective managers of the Merah Putih village/sub-district and fishing village cooperatives, does not involve heavy physical activity. The affirmation was delivered by the Head of the Reserve Component and National Defence Basic Training Centre, Brigadier General TNI Hengki Yuda Setiawan, following the deaths of five participants during the education programme.
