Defence Minister Sjafrie Gathers TNI Commander and Retired Generals, What's Going On?

Jakarta, VIVA – TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto and a number of retired TNI personnel were seen arriving at the Ministry of Defence office to attend a courtesy meeting with Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and TNI retirees, themed “The Role of the TNI in Supporting Government Programmes”, on Friday.

From observations at the location, Agus and his entourage of TNI officials arrived at 08.50 WIB. Their arrival was immediately welcomed by several TNI Headquarters officials already present, such as Deputy TNI Commander General Tandyo Budi Revita and Head of the TNI Headquarters Information Centre Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah.

Several former chiefs of staff and commanders were also observed attending the event, including Admiral TNI (Ret.) Yudho Margono, General TNI (Ret.) Andika Perkasa, General TNI (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, General TNI (Ret.) Gatot Nurmantyo, General TNI (Ret.) Agum Gumelar, and several other former TNI leaders.

The majority of the retired TNI officials present wore batik attire, while active TNI officials wore their service uniforms.

They all entered the Bhineka Tunggal Ika (BTI) room to attend the meeting. As of now, several former officials are still arriving at the Ministry of Defence.
