Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin has stated that the President’s Programme for Future Leaders (P3MD) is the right programme for shaping quality human resources. Sjafrie made the statement on his Instagram account @sjafrie.sjamsoeddin when posting a photo of himself giving direction to P3MD Batch 1 at the TNI Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command in Serpong on Monday. “This programme is an important part of preparing future generations of leaders who have character, integrity, and national insight,” Sjafrie said in his Instagram post. According to Sjafrie, P3MD participants must possess strong integrity and national insight in order to work professionally in building the nation. He also urged them to equip themselves with advanced knowledge so that in the future they can lead the nation in answering various future challenges. “This programme is also in the context of preparing the younger generation to have strategic capabilities in facing increasingly complex global dynamics and challenges,” Sjafrie said. He therefore hopes that P3MD participants will take advantage of this opportunity to explore their potential, so that in the future they can become quality national leadership cadres. The P3MD is an educational programme attended by professionals from state-owned enterprises. The first batch currently numbers 400 participants. They are undergoing education in self-development, national insight, and government management systems for nine months, starting from 20 May 2026 at the TNI Doctrine, Education and Training Development Command.
