Defence Minister meets retired TNI leaders to discuss government programmes
“We have not provided much information to the public because the development of the nation’s defense forces requires a little publicity,” he said while opening a gathering with retired military personnel at the Ministry of Defense in Central Jakarta on Friday.
On that occasion, Sjamsoeddin and senior TNI officials also discussed the government’s achievements. He stated that TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto would later explain the government’s defense programs to the retired TNI officers.
The closed-door meeting was attended by the TNI commander and the three chiefs of staff: Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak, Navy Chief of Staff Admiral Muhammad Ali, and Air Force Chief of Staff Air Chief Marshal Mohamad Tonny Harjono.
