Defence Minister Inspects Yon TP 805/KSW, Says Troops Ready for Duty

JAKARTA – Indonesian Defence Minister Sjafrie and Deputy Commander of the TNI General Tandyo Budi Revita confirmed that facilities and soldiers of the Territorial Development Infantry Battalion (Yon TP) across regions are ready to carry out their duties. ‘They are ready to perform their duties,’ the Defence Minister said in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday, 28 May 2026.

On Tuesday, 26 May 2026, they inspected the Yon TP 805/Ksatria Satya Waninggap (KSW) headquarters in South Manokwari Regency, West Papua. The Defence Minister also spoke with several soldiers and inspected various facilities at Yon TP, particularly the newly constructed soldier barracks and kitchen.

The Defence Minister explained that the visit aimed to assess operational readiness, facility construction, personnel preparedness, and the implementation of territorial development programs in the region. As in previous visits, Sjafrie inspected and sampled the soldiers’ meals and the cooking process in the kitchen.
