Defence Minister inspects readiness of Yonif TP 845 Ksatria Satam soldiers in Babel

Communities must genuinely experience the presence of the armed forces across security, economic, and socio-cultural aspects, Jakarta (ANTARA) — Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin inspected the readiness of the 845th Territorial Infantry Battalion (Yonif TP/Ksatria Satam) at Simpang Tiga, Simpang Renggiang, East Belitung, Bangka Belitung Islands, on Tuesday.

According to an official press statement received in Jakarta, the inspection was conducted to ensure soldiers were in optimal condition and supported by adequate facilities.

During his visit, Sjafrie took the opportunity to communicate with the soldiers. He commended the role of Yonif TP 845/Ksatria Satam, which has provided tangible benefits to surrounding communities, particularly in social and economic activities.

“Communities must genuinely experience the presence of the armed forces, whether in security, economic, or socio-cultural aspects,” he told the soldiers at the location.

Furthermore, Sjafrie emphasised that every soldier must possess strong national spirit in carrying out their duties. With this spirit, he is confident that the armed forces’ presence in social activities and security operations will always be well received by communities.

After providing motivation to the soldiers, he inspected several facilities including the kitchen, training areas, sleeping quarters, and various other supporting facilities. According to Sjafrie, all facilities met applicable standards.
