Deemed Noisy and Disruptive, Operating Hours for Buskers in Bogor Town Square to Be Restricted

BOGOR - Deputy Mayor of Bogor, Jenal Mutaqin, stated that his administration will impose restrictions on the operating hours for buskers in Bogor Town Square. He assessed that the music from karaoke buskers in the square is often played too loudly, thereby disturbing the comfort of visitors. Jenal admitted to having personally witnessed the buskers’ activities continuing into the late night. “I witnessed it myself; their operating hours sometimes exceed 11 PM, and even during the Mayor’s inspection, the karaoke in the square was still going at half past 11,” he continued. He added that his side will conduct a thorough evaluation regarding the activities of karaoke buskers in Bogor Town Square. Subsequently, the karaoke buskers will be placed in an area previously used by street buskers to perform in Bogor Town Square. However, the operations of the karaoke buskers will be limited only until 10 PM Western Indonesia Time.
