God willing, under the leadership of Chief of Police Mr Suyudi and Deputy Chief Mr Wahyu, the Indonesian National Police will become even better.

The former Deputy Chief of National Police, General Dedi Prasetyo, believes that the Polri institution will improve under the leadership of General Suyudi Ario Seto and Deputy Chief Commissioner General Wahyu Hadiningrat.

“God willing, under the leadership of Mr Suyudi as Chief of Police, and Mr Wahyu as Deputy Chief, Polri will become increasingly better,” he stated at the Rupatama Building of the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, on Thursday.

He added that he and other senior police officials would continue to support the new Chief and Deputy Chief in leading the Bhayangkara Corps.

It is noted that President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated General Suyudi Ario Seto as the Chief of National Police, replacing General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Thursday. Additionally, Prabowo also inaugurated Commissioner General Wahyu Hadiningrat as Deputy Chief, replacing General Dedi Prasetyo.

Suyudi previously served as the Head of the National Narcotics Board (BNN). He was appointed as the candidate for Chief of Police to replace Listyo Sigit Prabowo and received approval from the House of Representatives (DPR RI) during a plenary session on Thursday.

This transition is part of a series of changes to several positions within the government.

Listyo Sigit Prabowo will subsequently serve as the Head of the Presidential Staff, replacing General (Ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, who has been appointed as the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs. Meanwhile, Dedi Prasetyo has been appointed as the Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency (BRAN).
