Dedi Mulyadi Rides a Vespa GTV 300: Here are the Specifications
SUBANG, KOMPAS.com - An interesting sight was seen on the hilly roads of Subang leading to Lembang, West Java recently. The Governor of West Java, Dedi Mulyadi, made a road trip to Bandung using a large-sized retro-designed scooter, the Vespa GTV.
Through an upload on his official YouTube channel, Kang Dedi Mulyadi Channel, the number one person in West Java was on his way to attend the peak of the Milankala Tatar Sunda event and the Kirab Mahkota Binokasi in Bandung.
The main attention was immediately focused on the specifications of the white scooter with license plate T 5499 DM. So, what are the specifications of the Vespa GTV that he is riding?
The most striking feature of this motorcycle is the placement of the headlight on the front fender (faro basso), a tribute to the design of Vespas from the 1940s.
In addition to the unique headlights, this Vespa GTV adopts a naked handlebar model or open without plastic cover.
This exposed handlebar appearance is reinforced by a small transparent windshield above the instrument panel, giving it a strong sporty aura behind its classic nuance.
The motorcycle carries a 300 cc High Performance Engine (HPE), single cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, and has adopted an electronic injection system.
On paper, this engine is capable of producing maximum power of up to 23.8 hp at 8,250 RPM and peak torque reaches 26 Nm at 5,250 RPM.
The large torque characteristic at low to medium revs makes the Vespa GTV very reliable and responsive when tackling uphill roads and sharp turns typical of the Subang-Lembang hills.
To balance the performance of its powerful engine, the scooter’s chassis is designed with a high level of stability. The Vespa GTV uses 12-inch diameter wheels wrapped in wide profile tires.
For deceleration purposes, the braking system has adopted dual disc brakes controlled by dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) technology. This safety feature ensures that the wheels do not lock up when sudden braking on slippery road surfaces.
In addition, this premium scooter is also equipped with an electronic traction control feature called ASR (Anti-Slip Regulation) to prevent slippage on the rear tires during acceleration.
