Dedi Mulyadi Provides Rp50 Million Compensation to Family of Deceased Victim in East Bekasi Train Collision
Jakarta – West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi has provided compensation to the family of the victim who died in the KRL versus Argo Bromo train collision incident at East Bekasi Station. The amount of compensation given is Rp50 million.
“I have already arranged for those who died, as I stated this morning—each deceased victim will receive Rp50 million,” said Dedi Mulyadi to reporters at Bekasi City Hospital on Wednesday, 29 April 2026.
In addition, Dedi Mulyadi also compensated the injured victims who are still being treated in hospital. He stated that the compensation is intended to alleviate the burdens of the victims who cannot work or carry out activities due to undergoing treatment.
“So I arranged for each patient to receive Rp10 million for all patients currently being treated across Bekasi City,” he explained.
Not only that, Dedi mentioned that the West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov Jawa Barat) is also providing a Rp20 billion stimulus to Bekasi City Hospital. He highlighted various complaints regarding the hospital’s facilities.
“But there were complaints that the lifts are starting to have problems, some rooms need to be optimised, and the West Java Provincial Government is providing a stimulus of Rp20 billion for this hospital treating the victims, to perfect the hospital going forward,” Dedi Mulyadi concluded.
