Dedi Mulyadi Offers Vehicle Tax Discount During Eid 2026

The West Java Provincial Government is offering a 10% discount on motor vehicle tax (PKB) during the 2026 Eid holiday. This policy was announced directly by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi as an effort to encourage the public to fulfil their tax obligations during the extended holiday period. “During this Eid holiday, we will remain open with a 10% tax discount. Please take advantage of it,” Dedi stated, as quoted from his Instagram on Wednesday (18/3/2026). He explained that tax payment services will continue to operate and can be accessed via digital channels. The public can utilise the e-Samsat service through the Sapawarga application or SIGNAL (National Digital Samsat). “Rather than spending the money on Eid, it’s better to use it to pay taxes with a discount,” he said. According to information from the West Java Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), the 10% PKB discount applies from 18-24 March 2026. This policy covers annual vehicle tax payments for all types of vehicles, both two-wheeled and four-wheeled. However, the discount does not apply to five-year taxes or vehicle number plate replacements. Bapenda Jabar has also prepared various payment channels to facilitate the public through the Sapawarga and SIGNAL applications. During the programme period, the Main Samsat will remain operational 24 hours with staff ready to assist, including with digital services. “For those going home for Eid, be careful on the road. It’s better to pull over than to push yourself when tired or drowsy. Better slow, but safe,” Dedi added.
