West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, familiarly known as KDM, has stated that the West Java Provincial Government will guarantee all medical treatment for YTR, the victim of false imprisonment and abuse. Based on his records, the cost of YTR’s care over the next two weeks is estimated to reach Rp1 billion.

“The West Java provincial government has decided that the victim is guaranteed all health services until recovery. Based on the financial records I have today, the amount needed over these two weeks is Rp1 billion, and we are preparing it,” KDM said, as quoted from his YouTube broadcast on Thursday, 27 June 2026.

KDM further explained that with the provincial government’s guarantee of medical expenses, YTR’s family no longer needs to seek donations to cover the cost of care. However, he stressed that members of the public are still welcome to donate if they wish to help with the family’s living needs or the victim’s future.

“So there is no need to look for donations here and there anymore. But those who wish to donate are welcome to help with the family’s livelihood and the victim’s future,” he continued.

In addition to guaranteeing medical costs, the West Java Provincial Government has also ensured that the living expenses of YTR’s family will be covered. This step was taken because the family has been asked to temporarily stop working in order to focus on caring for the victim.

“Secondly, regarding the family, from the time of their visit until today, we have ensured that they stop working and continue to provide care, with their livelihood guaranteed. Those two things are in place, so the victim can be at ease without worrying about daily needs,” he said.

Beyond discussing the cost of care, KDM also addressed the Rp250 million bounty he had previously announced. The reward was intended for anyone who could provide information on the whereabouts of the alleged perpetrator of the false imprisonment and abuse, Taufik Hidayat.

However, after discussions with the West Java Regional Police, it was decided that the bounty would be redirected to the victim’s family. This was because the perpetrator was successfully apprehended by the West Java Police.

“Because the arrest was made by the West Java Police, the winner of the bounty is the West Java Police, and the Police Chief called me, ‘It is not possible for the West Java Police to accept the bounty.’ So he asked me, ‘Let’s just hand it over to the victim’s family for their future provision,’” he said.
