Deceptive Tactics Used by Dadan Hindayana and Others in Free Nutritious Meal Programme Corruption Case
The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) has named the former Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, along with two former Deputy Heads, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, as suspects in the alleged corruption of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme management. The three individuals are suspected of using deceptive tactics to manipulate the verification process for the establishment of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) foundations.
The Director of Investigation at the Attorney General’s Office’s Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi, stated that while the MBG programme should ideally be managed by foundations at each school, in practice, the foundations appointed as SPPG partners were allegedly affiliated with the suspects.
“The MBG programme should be managed by foundations at every school, but in fact, the foundations appointed as SPPG partners were used as vehicles for crime and were affiliated with officials or employees of the BGN who did not meet the requirements to be SPPG partners,” Syarief said during a press conference at the Attorney General’s Office building, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/6/2026).
Deceptive Tactics in SPPG Verification Manipulation
Syarief explained that Dadan, Sony, and Lodewyk allegedly employed deceptive methods by manipulating the verification process for the formation of SPPGs. As a result of this manipulation, SPPGs that should have been managed by independent parties were instead owned by foundations affiliated with the suspects.
“However, they were still appointed through the manipulation of the verification process on the BGN partner portal due to the intervention of the suspects,” he explained.
The Attorney General’s Office also revealed that these SPPG foundations were receiving funds amounting to billions of rupiah every day.
“These foundations receive billions of rupiah in incentives every day, and these foundations are affiliated with, among others, those owned by DH, SS, and LP,” he added.
Dadan Hindayana, alongside the two former Deputy Heads of the BGN, Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, have been detained by the Attorney General’s Office after being officially named suspects in the alleged corruption of the MBG programme management.
“The investigation concerns the alleged criminal acts of corruption in the management of the free nutritious meal programme, or MBG, within the National Nutrition Agency for the 2025-2026 period,” said Syarief.
