Deceived by a furniture trader

From Kompas

In June 2001, we bought a furniture set for our bedroom, a TV
cabinet and bookcase from Decho Artistica represented by Ir.
Deborah Rosanti residing in Taman Permata Buana at Jl. Pulau
Selayar I Blok JI/12 A, Jakarta.

In August 2001, the order was delivered but in an incomplete
condition as door handles and keys were not available. There
weren't even any partitions installed in TV cabinet and bookcase.
When asked, the deliveryman said that the items would be sent a
few days later. At that time, he asked us to settle the payment,
and without any suspicion, we paid the complete amount.

However, after that we did not hear from Decho Artistica. Our
efforts to contact Ibu Deborah via her home phone were to no
avail. Her cellular phone was usually inactive or she did not
answer it. We even tried going to her house and had to wait
almost two hours to meet her and she promised that it would be
settled. The following day, some people came to install the door
handles but not the partitions and doors for the bookcase as they
hadn't been made yet and they had to re-measure them. We then
started to suspect that something was wrong with the business.

After waiting for almost 11 months now, they haven't done
anything, although, according to the workers, the work can be
finished in one day. Knowing that, we have given up hope.
