Debts under Rp1 million to be excluded from OJK's SLIK in June

Consumers with debts under Rp1 million will no longer appear in the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) Financial Information Service (SLIK). Housing and Settlement Minister Maruarar Sirait stated that the policy would improve public access to subsidized housing finance. The Gerindra politician said the Ministry of PKP had held multiple meetings with OJK to address obstacles citizens faced in accessing subsidized housing finance. ‘We have been working to ensure the public can access subsidized housing, which has been hindered by OJK’s SLIK. After six meetings with OJK, we finally succeeded,’ Sirait said during a working meeting with the House of Representatives’ Commission V at the Parliament Complex in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. ‘OJK has made a decision, which will be implemented next month in June,’ he added. Many citizens previously struggled to obtain FLPP financing due to small outstanding debts, including those from online loans (pinjol). ‘This change allows the public to access FLPP financing. Previously, many Indonesians were blocked by debts under Rp1 million from online loans and similar sources,’ he said. Sirait noted that FLPP’s implementation in 2025 reached 278,000 units, the highest in history. FLPP is a subsidized housing finance program for Low-Income Households (MBR). ‘This is the largest FLPP implementation in history, with 278,000 units in 2025. Previously, the 2023 figure was 228,000,’ Sirait said. The policy will unlock around Rp80 trillion in liquidity for home ownership loans (KPR), raising the national subsidized housing quota from 220,000 to 350,000 units. ‘This is the highest subsidized housing quota ever. Previously, the maximum was 228,000 units last year, but this year’s budget allocates 350,000,’ he added. In addition to subsidized housing finance, Sirait said the PKP Ministry has allocated housing assistance for tuberculosis (TB) survivors. The programme is implemented via the Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) or home renovation, at the request of the Health Minister. He also noted other initiatives, including 15,000 home renovations in border areas and 10,000 units for families of School Rakyat participants.
