Debtors Can Now Check Loan History on SLIK via Bank Jago
Bank Jago has launched a ‘Credit Report’ feature on its Jago application to help prospective debtors review their credit history before applying for a loan. “We help them to become aware first, what exactly are all the loans you have? Because that is actually very important,” said Head of Sustainability & Digital Lending Bank Jago, Andy Djiwandono, in South Jakarta on Wednesday, 9 July 2025. Andy explained that the Credit Report feature was born from the common problem of people failing to apply for loans because they were unaware of outstanding debts they had at various banks or online lending platforms. He noted that the feature provides five pieces of information related to a customer’s credit health. One of these is the collectability status, or KOL, which shows how smoothly a loan is being repaid. The Credit Report also presents data on loan facilities and the total amount of loans a debtor has applied for across all financial institutions, not just at Bank Jago. Based on this credit profile information, Andy said Bank Jago will provide recommendations for customers to make financial decisions and improve their credit health. Andy explained that the loan data integrated into the Credit Report is sourced from the Financial Services Authority’s (OJK) Financial Information Service System (SLIK). Therefore, to access the Credit Report, customers must grant permission for Bank Jago to request their loan history from SLIK OJK. He emphasised that reviewing credit history is crucial, as many prospective debtors fail to secure loans because they are unaware of previous arrears. The Credit Report is an implementation of the responsible lending concept developed by Bank Jago. Its presence complements the bank’s range of responsible lending products, including Jago Dana Cepat and Dana Siaga. Andy added that based on the 2025 National Financial Literacy and Inclusion Survey (SNLIK) released by the OJK, the national financial literacy level for bank financing reached 65.5 percent, while literacy levels for non-bank institutions remained low, with financing institutions at 44.7 percent, fintech lending at 24.9 percent, and other financial institutions at 9.8 percent. Currently, the Credit Report can be accessed by Bank Jago debtors, including those using the Jago Dana Cepat and Dana Siaga facilities.
