Deaths from US-Israel War with Iran: 10 Countries Affected
Military escalation in the Middle East triggered by combined attacks from the United States and Israel against Iran since 28 February has reached a critical point. The conflict has not only devastated strategic infrastructure but also claimed thousands of lives across various countries in the region.
The Islamic Republic of Iran has recorded the most severe impact with 1,444 reported deaths. The intensity of airstrikes targeting vital facilities, including the oil export centre on Kharg Island, has been a major factor in the high death toll.
The conflict has rapidly spread beyond Iran’s borders, affecting multiple countries across the region.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz announced that the war against Teheran has entered a “decisive phase” following a series of major airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel against Iranian territory.
Katz expressed particular appreciation for US attacks targeting Iran’s primary oil export centre on Kharg Island. He stressed that military operations will not cease in the near term.
“The global and regional struggle against Iran, led by US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is intensifying and entering a decisive phase that will continue for as long as necessary,” Katz stated in a televised address before senior military officials.
Tensions between Iran and the United States have escalated following military action under Donald Trump’s command attacking Kharg Island, the primary centre of Iran’s oil exports. Kharg Island is the backbone of Iran’s economy, handling 90 per cent of oil exports and playing a strategically vital role amid threats of US military strikes.
The Iranian armed forces have stated that they have launched attacks against several locations suspected of being bases for Israeli and American commanders in the Middle East region.
