Death toll from US-Israel attack on Iran reaches 1,045

Tehran — The death toll from the joint US and Israel strikes on Iran has reached 1,045, according to Tasnim News Agency, which cited the Iranian Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday (3 March), the Iranian Red Crescent Society said the death toll from the US-Israel attacks on Iran had risen to 787. It said the victims included civilians and military personnel.

On 28 February, the US and Israel launched a series of strikes on several targets in Iran, including in Tehran, with reports of damage and civilian casualties. Iran’s state television confirmed that Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the attack.

Iran then launched ballistic missile strikes in retaliation at Israel and US military facilities in the Middle East.
