The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) of DKI Jakarta has recovered additional bodies buried in a landslide at the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Processing Facility (TPST), located in Ciketing Udik Village, Bantargebang District, Bekasi City, West Java.

“At 12:05 WIB, one victim identified as Jussova Situmorang was found deceased,” said Jakarta SAR Office Head Desiana Kartika Bahari in a statement in Jakarta on Monday, 9 March.

Subsequently, at 17:50 WIB, the combined SAR team recovered another victim identified as Hardianto, found dead near a ravine buried under waste debris.

“Both bodies were immediately transported to Polri Kramat Jati Hospital for identification procedures,” she said.

Desiana added that the agency continues to compile victim data based on witness accounts and reports from families who have lost loved ones.

She explained that search efforts have involved 336 combined personnel deploying heavy machinery and K9 search teams to locate signs of victims. “Search operations are also being conducted using thermal drones to scan from above and detect body heat,” Desiana said.

The confirmed casualties comprise six deceased individuals: Enda Widayanti (female, 25, warung owner), Sumine (female, 60, warung owner), Dedi Sutrisno (male, truck driver), Irwan Supriatin (male, truck driver), Jussova Situmorang (female, 38), and Hardianto. Six survivors have been identified: Budiman, Johan, Safifudin, Slamet, Ato, and Dofir. One person, Riki, remains missing and is still being searched for.
