Death of Sutrimo Remains a Mystery, Police Launch Investigation

The death of a man named Sutrimo on Thursday (23/7) remains a mystery. Police are currently investigating the cause of Sutrimo’s death. Sutrimo was found unconscious in the yard of the Mordent Clinic in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. He was then taken to Muhammadiyah Taman Puring Hospital by ambulance. “The hospital explained that Sutrimo arrived already deceased,” said Polda Metro Jaya Head of Public Relations, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, in a written statement on Sunday (26/7). The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya and the South Jakarta Metro Police are conducting an investigation to gather information and piece together the sequence of events surrounding Sutrimo’s death. Budi stated that investigators are currently collecting witness statements and clarifying details with the family, the ambulance driver, hospital staff, and other parties who have knowledge of the incident. “Medical records, the history of the ambulance booking, the location where the deceased was initially found, and other related information are also being investigated,” he said. Based on circulating information, the victim was found with foam at his mouth. However, the police cannot yet confirm the cause of Sutrimo’s death as the investigation is still underway. Budi stressed that the investigation into Sutrimo’s death will be conducted professionally, carefully, and in accordance with applicable regulations to obtain the complete facts. “Because the process is still ongoing, we cannot yet conclude the cause of the deceased’s death,” he said. The victim is reportedly the head of household staff for Febrie Adriansyah, a former Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes at the Attorney General’s Office. Meanwhile, Budi said investigators are still looking into the victim’s identity. “It is still being investigated,” Budi stated. Furthermore, Polda Metro Jaya has urged the public not to speculate or spread unverified information. Budi said that developments in the investigation will be communicated proportionally once verifiable facts have been obtained.
