Death of Peter puzzles embassy
JAKARTA: The British Embassy has called on the public to help police uncover the how Briton, Peter Norton, 21, died in Denpasar, Bali, on Feb. 9, 1997.
Peter Norton was found unconscious in an enclosed yard of an elementary school near the Peanuts discotheque at 10 a.m. with serious head injuries.
He was in a coma for a week before dying, the embassy said yesterday.
Peter arrived in Bali from Britain on Feb. 9 for a two-week holiday with his friend, Jonathan (Joe) Cape.
They went to the Bounty Bar at 10:30 p.m. and talked for about an hour with three Australian youths from Brisbane.
Later, Jonathan Cape danced for a while but did not find Peter and the three youths when he returned to the table.
