Dealing with drugs
Dealing with drugs
From Kompas
It is sad to learn from the print and electronic media how
drug abuse has spread so widely in the country in just a short
time. Even elementary school students in a small town like Anyer
have been drawn to drugs.
What will happen to our children, on whom the nation pins its
hopes in the future. The government and police must take strict
action against drug pushers and eliminate them in the real sense
of the word.
There are two categories of drug abusers. First drug dealers,
including retailers sellers and distributors. These people must
never be shown any leniency. If they try to escape or resist
arrest, just shoot them to death. If they are only wounded, the
government will have to spend money for their medical care and to
feed them and detain them. Why not just shoot them to death?
There is no use allowing these people to live because they will
only ruin our younger generations.
The second category of drug abusers comprises drug users who
can prove their willingness to break free from their drug
addiction. These people must be treated.
However, there are some drug users who only pretend to cut all
links with drug abuse, but unfortunately their behavior indicates
otherwise. These people must be sent to a remote and isolated
island. Here they can use drugs to their hearts content until
they can't get up anymore for ever. If these people disappeared,
the Indonesian population of some 200 million people would lose
virtually nothing.
