Dealers Begin to Decrease, Here's the Explanation from Honda Prospect Motor
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Honda dealers in Jakarta are starting to decrease in number. Nevertheless, this Japanese manufacturer continues to vigorously strengthen its after-sales services in areas outside the capital.
Not long ago, a social media post went viral about one of Honda’s dealers in South Jakarta, suspected to have ceased operations. The building no longer displays the Honda logo.
Yusak Billy, Sales & Marketing and After Sales Operations Director of PT HPM, stated that the company understands that adjustments to the dealer network are part of the ever-changing dynamics of the automotive industry.
“For Honda, the most important thing is to ensure that every consumer continues to receive easily accessible, quick, and reliable services,” said Billy, when contacted by Kompas.com recently.
Billy added that Honda wants to ensure that every existing dealer network remains strong, relevant, and capable of providing optimal services to consumers.
“In line with that, Honda is also continuously developing its network in areas that still have potential, including by opening several dealers in new regions and enhancing facilities in existing dealers, in accordance with the growing population and needs of Honda consumers,” he said.
“As an addition, to strengthen coverage and services, this year we plan to open 13 new dealer networks in various regions, including five dealers that we have already opened in February in the areas of South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan,” he stated.
The efficiency measures taken in the capital do not diminish Honda’s commitment to services across the country.
With plans to open dozens of new dealers extending to the remote areas of Kalimantan, the manufacturer with the ‘H’ logo seems intent on proving that closeness to consumers is no longer centred solely in Jakarta.
This transformation serves as a positive signal for the growth of the regional automotive ecosystem, which is increasingly developing, while also guaranteeing peace of mind for vehicle owners wherever they may be.
