Dealer Group Says Denza D9 Starts to Challenge Toyota Alphard's Dominance
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Sales of the Denza D9 continue to show positive trends in Indonesia. Some consumers who previously considered premium MPVs like the Toyota Alphard are now switching to this Chinese premium electric vehicle. The phenomenon was revealed by Haka Auto CEO Hariyadi Kaimuddin. Notably, Haka Auto operates under the Kalla Group, which has long been associated with Toyota through Kalla Toyota in Eastern Indonesia. Hariyadi stated that many consumers are responding well to the Denza D9 for offering premium comfort at a more affordable price compared to its rivals. He added that the features of the Denza D9 are a major reason consumers are considering the model. ‘There are massage seats, a fridge, a heater, all sorts of features that aren’t common. And what’s especially needed, especially for people in Jakarta, is what’s required,’ he said. ‘That’s why it’s been very well received so far. Sales are still quite strong,’ Hariyadi said. ‘In fact, there’s significant interest from Indonesians in this segment. Even if models like the B8 or B5 launch, this MPV segment still seems to be the largest,’ he added.
