Deadline for voters

JAKARTA (JP): Jakarta residents who have not registered to
vote have until July 15 to do so.

Bagus Suharyono, secretary of the Jakarta electoral committee
said yesterday that residents should use their right to vote
properly. "We want them to enroll before the deadline," he said.

Bagus said 5,560,825 people registered with the committee
during the first registration period from May 1 to May 20. "The
target was only 5,465,379," he said. (sur)
