Deadline for Corporate Income Tax Return Filing Extended to 31 May 2026

The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has extended the deadline for submitting the Annual Income Tax Notification (SPT) for Corporate Income Tax (PPh) for corporate taxpayers. The original deadline of 30 April 2026 has been extended to 31 May 2026.

Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto stated that the decision was made after receiving instructions from Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa to consider relaxing the submission of the Annual Corporate PPh SPT. “We are currently processing this for an extension of the reporting period, and we will release it soon,” Bimo said at the Central Jakarta Medium Tax Service Office on Thursday, 30 April 2026.

According to Bimo, the reporting deadline for the Annual SPT for individual taxpayers remains 30 April 2026, as it has already received relief from the initial deadline of 31 March 2026.

Meanwhile, the extension of the reporting deadline for corporate taxpayers is intended to meet taxpayer service needs while ensuring data can be entered properly. For the core tax administration system Coretax, he said, it is still being refined, thus requiring time adjustments.

With this extension, Bimo stated that DJP hopes corporate taxpayers will have more time to prepare the completeness of calculations and administration in submitting the Corporate PPh SPT. This step is also expected to provide certainty for taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations.

He mentioned that during the Annual SPT reporting period, DJP also ensures that face-to-face or offline services at tax offices continue to operate optimally from Monday to Sunday for those who need direct services.

Bimo explained that DJP is taking a proactive approach to corporations deemed to need assistance. DJP, he said, is committed to providing services close to taxpayers and fully assisting the reporting process.
