The Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) of the Ministry of Finance has urged civil servants (ASN), TNI, and Polri personnel to promptly submit their annual tax returns before the reporting deadline of 31 March 2026.

Director of Dissemination, Services, and Public Relations, Inge Diana Rismawanti, explained that for ASN, TNI, and Polri, there is a letter from the Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPANRB) setting the deadline for annual SPT submission at 28 February 2026 as a form of exemplary conduct.

“Specifically for ASN, TNI, and POLRI, there is a letter from the Minister of PAN and RB number B/7/M.SM.00.00/2026 dated 30 January 2026, stating that the deadline for submitting the Annual SPT for Personal Income Tax is 28 February 2026 as a form of exemplary conduct,” said Inge to CNBC Indonesia on Wednesday (25/3/2026).

Meanwhile, for other individual taxpayers, the submission deadline remains 31 March 2026 in accordance with the General Provisions and Tax Procedures Law (UU KUP).

“In accordance with UU KUP, the deadline for submitting the Annual Personal Income Tax SPT for individual taxpayers is no later than three months after the end of the tax year (31 March 2026),” she added.

Previously, the Director General of Taxes, Bimo Wijayanto, explained that DJP has coordinated and requested assistance from relevant ministries and institutions to direct their employees to report promptly. This was stated during the APBN KiTa event in February.

“Additionally, we have requested assistance from all related ministries such as the Ministry of PAN-RB, SOE Ministry, Bank Indonesia, and the Ministry of Home Affairs to help direct SPT reporting for all ASN or their employees no later than the end of February to prevent a pile-up at the reporting deadline,” said Bimo, quoted on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
