Dead baby found in mosque
JAKARTA (JP): A resident about to do his evening prayers at Mujahiddin Mosque on Jl. Kayu Putih Timur in Pulogadung, East Jakarta on Tuesday evening, was shocked to find the body of a baby boy.
Pulogadung Police chief First Insp. Bambang Setyo said on Wednesday Surya, 30, a resident of the Kayu Putih area, saw upon entering the mosque, a bundle wrapped in towel at the left corner.
"Surya became suspicious. He opened the towel and was shocked to see the dead baby, all bloody. He immediately reported the find to the neighborhood unit chief," Bambang told reporters on Wednesday.
Police have sent the corpse to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital morgue for autopsy. (ylt)
