Dea wins Malaysia Int'l

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian Dea Sumantri buckled down for the
tennis title in the girls singles of the Malaysia International
Junior Group 3 in Kuala Lumpur, defeating Ayano Taekushi of Japan
6-1, 2-6, 6-1 in the final on Sunday.

But Dea, partnered by Angelique Wijaya, lost in the doubles
event in the tournament, which began on March 13. The Indonesian
fourth seeds lost to second seeded Masayo Hasokawa and Yuki Arai
of Japan 7-6, 6-7, 6-2. (yan)
