DCII to Operate E2 Data Centre in Surabaya in First Half of 2026, Strengthening Eastern Network
JAKARTA - PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCII) is preparing to operate a new data centre, E2, in Surabaya in the first half of 2026. This step expands digital infrastructure, particularly for eastern Indonesia.
Corporate Affairs Director of DCI Indonesia, Indri Koesindrijastoeti, stated that the facility was completed in the fourth quarter of 2025. The next phase involves entering operations.
The DCI E2 Surabaya data centre has an IT capacity of 9 megawatts (MW). The facility is designed to strengthen internet connectivity and serve as a redundancy system for data centres in Jakarta.
This scheme enables data traffic with lower latency. The impact will be felt in the eastern Indonesia region.
“This year, we proudly introduce the DCI E2 Surabaya data centre, our latest data centre facility in Indonesia’s second-largest city with a capacity of 9 MW,” said Indri during an online press conference on Monday (30/3/2026).
“The construction of this building was completed in less than 12 months, proof of our excellence in time to market in the data centre industry. The construction of DCI E2 Surabaya was completed in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is ready to operate in the first half of 2026,” she continued.
The total potential capacity reaches 2,000 MW.
“Alhamdulillah, we have successfully maintained 100 percent power uptime consistently for 13 years since we began operations. To date, our platform is the largest in Indonesia with a total potential capacity of up to 2,000 MW, spread across four strategic locations,” said Indri.
DCII also adopts a cloud and carrier neutral concept. This model provides direct access to various global digital ecosystems.
Customers can connect to cloud service providers, the financial industry, technology companies, and network operators.
“As Indonesia’s first cloud and carrier neutral data centre, DCI directly connects customers to a wide ecosystem, including major cloud providers, the financial industry, digital content, enterprises, and network providers,” she said.
This ecosystem strengthens DCII’s role in supporting the digital operations of various sectors.
In 2025, DCII also completed the JK6 data centre at H1 Campus Cibitung. This facility has a capacity of 36 MW and was completed in less than 12 months.
The project involved approximately 3 million safe working hours and was carried out by local contractors.
Indri views this sustainable expansion as reflecting the company’s commitment. The focus is directed towards providing digital infrastructure ready to meet future needs.
“This achievement affirms the company’s excellence in time to market in carrying out the expansion of the DCI platform to meet customer demand,” said Indri.
