Daylight theft

Daylight theft

From Pikiran Rakyat

On April 17, 1996, at about 10 a.m. thieves broke into a house
on Jl. Parakan Asri-Bypass in Bandung, West Java. The thieves
knew the owner was not at home and forced the door open. The
seemingly experienced thieves finished the job quickly and fled
in a minivan. The same cat burglars robbed a house on Jl. Parakan
Ayu right after their successful first operation.

The gang specializes in stealing money and eyeglasses. They
leave television sets, video players, cameras and watches.

The thieves don't operate at night because the townspeople
take turns patrolling the neighborhood. The burglars shift their
activities to the day. Folks beware!
