Dayak handicraft exhibition planned
A major exhibition featuring art of the Dayak tribe will be held at the Aryaduta Hotel Jakarta from Aug. 12 to 17.
The event, which will take place on the hotel's second floor, is jointly organized by the East Kalimantan provincial administration, the management of Taman Mini Indonesia Indah and the Aryaduta Hotel in celebration of the Indonesian Independence Day.
On display during the six-day exhibition will be a variety of handicrafts from the Dayak tribe, including rattan, jewelry and textile products.
The Dayak tribe, which hails from Kalimantan, is known for their artistic handicrafts. (raw)
