DM, a casual day labourer from Ende Tengah District in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), has committed three separate rape offences against his biological daughter, identified as FB. The sexual assaults occurred between January and February 2026.

“The suspect (DM), working as a daily casual labourer, committed sexual intercourse against the child,” stated Supardin, Head of the Public Relations Section of Ende Police (Polres Ende), on Monday evening (9 March 2026).

DM committed the first rape of his biological daughter on Tuesday (6 January 2026) at approximately 20:30 local time (WITA). The second assault occurred on Saturday (19 January 2026) at approximately 03:00 WITA, and the third took place on Wednesday (25 February 2026) at approximately 00:00 WITA. All three rapes were committed in FB’s bedroom.

During the assaults, DM made threats towards his daughter, including “do not scream or I will hit you.” He also threatened her by saying “do not tell anyone, or I will have you sent to Sabu.”

The victim reported the abuse to police on 1 March 2026. The police report was registered under number LP/B/29/III/2026/SPKT/Satreskrim/POLRES ENDE/POLDA NTT.

DM has been arrested and is now a criminal suspect. Police seized several pieces of evidence including a grey short-sleeved t-shirt bearing the text “Jakarta,” green shorts, an orange short-sleeved t-shirt, and black shorts.

DM has been charged as a suspect under Article 81(3) of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Enactment of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perppu) Number 1 of 2016 on the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 on Child Protection as a Law, or Articles 473(9) in conjunction with 473(4) in conjunction with 126(1) and 418(1) in conjunction with 126(1) of Law Number 1 of 2023 concerning the Criminal Code (KUHP).
