Tangerang (ANTARA) - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney) Soekarno-Hatta Airport Branch in Tangerang, Banten, reported 97,853 passengers and 841 flights at the airport on Thursday, 28 May 2026 (H+1 of Idul Adha 1447 H). This figure represents a decline compared to the Idul Adha holiday period on 27 May 2026, which saw 101,686 passengers. “Plan & Distribution Traffic per Terminal CGK Soekarno-Hatta Airport on Thursday (28/5) amounted to 97,853 passengers and 841 flights,” said Assistant Deputy of Communication and Legal Affairs at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Yudistiawan, in Tangerang on Thursday. He noted that passenger movement during this year’s Idul Adha holiday was dominated by the three terminals at Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Terminal 1 recorded 21,031 passengers across 201 flights. Terminal 2 handled 29,268 passengers on 284 flights, while Terminal 3 saw 47,554 passengers on 345 flights. InJourney Airports President Director Mohammad R. Pahlevi stated that a projected three million passengers would travel during the Idul Adha holiday period from 27-28 May 2026, coinciding with the weekend of 30-31 May and the national holiday of Pancasila’s Birth on 1 June. “The highest passenger numbers are projected for 26 May, around 412,000 passengers on 3,000 flights, and on 1 June 2026, approximately 423,000 passengers with 3,000 flights,” he said. Despite this, all airports have prepared measures to ensure safety, security, and service quality during the extended holiday period. “We are striving to ensure smooth and comfortable air travel for the public across all InJourney Airports during the Idul Adha holiday, which overlaps with the weekend and the national Pancasila’s Birth holiday,” he added. Pahlevi said the airports have adjusted flight slot times to ensure smooth operations. “Aircraft parking allocation on the airside is also a focus, contributing to smooth passenger flow for arrivals and departures. Furthermore, all airport staff will serve passengers and users with utmost dedication,” he added. InJourney has also coordinated with all parties to ensure smooth processing of passenger departures and arrivals, from check-in and boarding to baggage handling and public transport availability at the airport.
