Day After Eid, Time to Explore Jakarta for Just Rp1
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Residents are utilising the special Rp1 fare to explore Jakarta via various public transport options, including LRT Jabodebek, MRT, and Transjakarta (TJ), on the day after Eid al-Fitr 1447 H.
“By chance, I’m just returning to Jakarta from my hometown in Semarang today. Since the fare is Rp1, I can save on costs to my boarding house and use it for a bit of light healing by riding TJ—it’s still a long weekend,” said Dewi, a migrant from Central Java, at Pasar Senen Station in Jakarta on Sunday.
Fia, who was riding the Transjakarta route from Senen to Blok M, expressed a similar sentiment. After Eid travel, she said, it is the perfect time to gather with friends in the adopted city.
Meanwhile, Transjakarta is offering an Rp1 fare for residents wishing to explore Jakarta by bus.
According to information sourced from the official Instagram page @infotije, the Rp1 Transjakarta fare applies from Eid day (21/3) and the day after, respectively, from 00.00 WIB to 23.49 WIB.
Furthermore, LRT Jabodebek is providing a special Rp1 fare promotion until today, in line with government regulations.
Previously, KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin stated that this policy is part of KAI’s commitment to delivering increasingly accessible public transport services during the Eid holiday period.
“The Eid momentum is when people move to reconnect, travel, and enjoy time with family. Through the Rp1 fare policy for LRT Jabodebek on H-1 and H+1 of Eid 2026, KAI aims to bring a pleasant surprise while encouraging more people to utilise safe, comfortable, and integrated public transport,” Bobby said.
In addition, PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) is implementing a special Rp1 fare for two days, namely Eid day and the day after, in accordance with Decree No. e-0056 of 2026 from the Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency.
Previously, Corporate Secretary Division Head of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) Rendy Primartantyo stated that this promotion is in celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H and to provide ease of access for the public to travel by MRT.
