Manager of Public Relations for PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta, Franoto Wibowo, in Jakarta, stated that as of 09:00 WIB, 41,663 people arrived in the capital today through Pasar Senen Station, Gambir Station, Bekasi Station, Cikampek Station, Cikarang Station, Jatinegara Station, and Karawang Station. “Meanwhile, 41,754 passengers departed from stations in the Daop 1 Jakarta area to various cities on Java island today,” said Franoto at Pasar Senen Station, Jakarta, on Sunday. Specifically for Pasar Senen Station, he said the volume of departing returnees increased today, with 19,604 passengers, up from the previous day (Eid day) which had 18,814 passengers. “Meanwhile, arrivals at Pasar Senen Station today total 15,994 passengers,” Franoto stated. Franoto said the total capacity of long-distance train seats (KAJJ) is 1,083,623 seats, with the passenger volume departing on 22 March 2026 being 45,841 people. Cumulatively, the total departing passengers for the period 11-22 March 2026 is 579,083. Meanwhile, the cumulative number of passengers who have purchased and booked tickets for the period 11 March-1 April 2026 is 790,692 tickets. “The average occupancy rate (seat fill rate) for the period 11 March-1 April 2026 is 73 percent. The remaining seats for the overall period from 23 March to 1 April 2026 is 290,982 seats,” Franoto said. Furthermore, he noted that the highest occupancy and ticket sales period for KAJJ occurred during the mudik/pre-Eid momentum or on 11–20 March 2026, with a total of 483,389 tickets already sold or booked by the public.
