Day 5: Conflict in Aceh

Pidie: Three suspected GAM members were killed in a gunfight with
government troops in Butee village, Muara district, Pidie. The
previous night, one GAM rebel was killed in Pisang village, Sakti
district.

North Aceh: Two rebels were killed and two others arrested during
a raid on a GAM hideout in Raya Rebo Timur village, Sawang
district.

Aceh Besar: Army and Marine forces occupied four of eight GAM
posts on Nasi Island, Aceh Island district. No casualties were
reported.

Banda Aceh One soldier was injured in a grenade attack on a TNI
post in Banda Aceh.
