Day 16 of Hajj 2026: Ministry of Hajj Focuses on Strengthening Services for Pilgrims
The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) has emphasised strengthening pilgrimage guidance, pilgrim protection, and improvements in healthcare services as the primary focuses on the 16th day of operations for the Hajj pilgrimage in 1447 Hijriyah/2026 CE. Spokesperson for Kemenhaj, Suci Annisa, stated that the process of departure and inter-city movements of pilgrims in Saudi Arabia have so far run smoothly and orderly under the supervision of officials. βAll pilgrim movement processes are carried out in a coordinated manner with official supervision. We ensure that every pilgrim receives safe, comfortable, and orderly services from departure to the performance of worship in the Holy Land,β said Suci in a press release on Thursday (7/5/2026). Kemenhaj data records that up to 5 May 2026, 250 batches with 97,139 pilgrims and 996 personnel have been dispatched from Indonesia. Meanwhile, 239 batches carrying 92,739 pilgrims and 952 personnel have arrived in Madinah. The movement of pilgrims from Madinah to Mecca is also continuing gradually. A total of 88 batches with 34,244 pilgrims and 352 personnel have arrived in Mecca to perform the obligatory Umrah.
