JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (Kemenhaj) has reported that five pilgrims passed away in the Holy Land on the tenth day of the 1447 Hijriah Hajj pilgrimage, corresponding to 2026.

The latest update from Kemenhaj expresses condolences for the deaths of two Indonesian pilgrims: Tukiman Sardi Kromo Karso (54) from kloter PDG-04, originating from the City of Bengkulu, and Dawanus Mahmud Muhammad Hasyim (51) from kloter BTH-05, from Kampar Regency, Riau.

“Innalillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un, we convey that two pilgrims have passed away, namely Tukiman Sardi Kromo Karso and Dawanus Mahmud Muhammad Hasyim,” said Kemenhaj Spokesperson Suci Annisa during a press conference on Thursday (30/4/2026).

Meanwhile, in the health sector, five pilgrims were referred to the Indonesian Hajj Health Clinic (KKHI) and 89 to Saudi Arabian hospitals (RSAS).

“Up to now, 49 pilgrims are still undergoing treatment,” she added.

In the meantime, 132 kloters with 52,343 pilgrims have arrived in Madinah and are gradually occupying the hotels prepared by the government.

“Alhamdulillah, up to the tenth day of Hajj operations, the embarkation and arrival of pilgrims have proceeded smoothly, orderly, and well-served at all service points,” she stated.

Starting today, the movement of pilgrims from Madinah to Makkah is being carried out gradually to continue the series of rituals up to the peak of Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna).
