Dawn Medical Technologies Acquires Controlling Stake in Vietnam's Pinnacle Health
Dawn Medical Technologies (“Dawn”), a MedTech commercialisation platform owned by CBC Group, has acquired a controlling stake in Pinnacle Health Equipment Joint Stock Company (“Pinnacle Health”), one of Vietnam’s largest and most advanced MedTech distributors. Through this corporate action, Dawn is expanding into Vietnam’s rapidly developing market. The acquisition also represents CBC Group’s first corporate action in the MedTech sector in Southeast Asia.
Supported by CBC Group, Asia’s largest healthcare-focused investment firm, Dawn is building a MedTech commercialisation platform that connects upstream sourcing capabilities with downstream commercial strengths. This integration expands access to high-quality and affordable medical solutions in emerging markets, with a primary focus on Southeast Asia.
Founded by Jade Le in 2015, Pinnacle Health possesses deep product expertise and delivers high-quality customer service. Headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Pinnacle Health represents various global MedTech companies and serves hospitals and clinics across Vietnam. With Vietnam’s healthcare spending budget expected to increase by 8-9% annually, Dawn has acquired a ready-to-use, large-scale, and reputable local platform through this acquisition.
Arjun Sarker, CEO of Dawn, said: “The acquisition of a controlling stake in Pinnacle Health is a significant milestone in our regional expansion. Jade and her team have built an exceptional business with a strong market position. We are very optimistic about Jade’s leadership and look forward to the synergies between Dawn’s sourcing strengths and operational model with Pinnacle’s local market advantages. Through these synergies, we will accelerate growth and deliver more impactful medical technologies to patients in Vietnam.”
Jade Le, CEO & Founder of Pinnacle Health, added: “We are thrilled to partner with Dawn and CBC Group to take Pinnacle into a new phase of growth. With extensive expertise in the healthcare sector and a long-term vision that aligns with ours, we are ready to accelerate expansion, strengthen capabilities, and elevate service standards. More importantly, this partnership reinforces our commitment to improving medical care outcomes and expanding access to cutting-edge medical solutions for the Vietnamese people.”
Fu Wei, CEO of CBC Group, said: “This acquisition underscores our strong commitment to Southeast Asia. Vietnam is a high-growth market with massive needs. We are pleased to build reach in this market through a world-class platform like Pinnacle, reaching underserved communities and building the future of healthcare in the region.”
This acquisition aligns with Dawn’s strategy to lead MedTech commercialisation in the region by consolidating fragmented markets and leveraging Asia’s favourable regulatory and business environment to expand access to critical medical technologies.
