Dawn Gathering in Depok: Pradi Supriatna Urges Maintaining Harmony and Praying for Leaders
A warm atmosphere of togetherness prevailed at the Dawn Gathering held at Al Huda Mosque in Beji, Depok City, on Saturday (17/4/2026). The event served as a space to strengthen brotherhood while reinforcing the commitment to preserving social harmony within the community.
Member of Commission I of the West Java Provincial DPRD, Pradi Supriatna, who attended the occasion, stressed the importance of such gatherings as a means to bolster values of togetherness and seek beneficial knowledge.
“This gathering does not only bring us together physically but also serves as a path to obtain useful knowledge and strengthen brotherhood,” he stated in front of the congregation.
In the familial atmosphere, Pradi urged the community to continue safeguarding harmony in Depok City. According to him, the conduciveness of the region is a shared responsibility that must be nurtured through togetherness and mutual respect.
He also touched on the dynamics of leadership as a natural aspect of national and state life. The transition of leaders, including in Depok, he said, is part of the democratic process that must be approached wisely.
“Leadership transitions are normal; what is most important is that we maintain unity and pray for our leaders to be granted health, strength, and the ability to fulfil their mandates, both at the national, provincial, and regency/city levels,” he explained.
The gathering was attended by ulama and community figures from Depok, who also delivered religious sermons and reinforced religious values to the congregation.
As a form of concern for worship comfort, Pradi stated that his side had assisted in completing mosque facilities with the addition of two air conditioning units. Additionally, he donated a cow as a gesture of social care, hoped to bring blessings to the surrounding community.
Through this event, it is hoped that the spirit of togetherness, care, and religious values will continue to grow within the community, while strengthening social harmony in Depok City.
