David Napitupulu

Correction: We inadvertently published the wrong photo of former student
movement figure David Napitupulu, who died in Jakarta on Monday
at the age of 67, in our Tuesday's edition.

The photograph is not David Napitupulu, but Washington P.
Napitupulu, the former director general of out-of-school
education, youth and sports of the Ministry of Education and
Culture from 1974 to 1991.

Washington is currently the deputy chairman of the Indonesian
Boy Scouts (Pramuka) organization and a lecturer at several
universities.

This is the correct photo of David, who served as one of the
chairpersons on the central board of Golkar (1977-1982) and
deputy secretary general from 1983 to 1986.
