Dave Confident Indonesia Can Maintain National Development Stability Amid Global Uncertainty
Jakarta, VIVA – Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar Party faction, Dave Laksono, highlighted that global uncertainties tend to increase and affect the economic stability of various countries.
According to the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK), he continued, Indonesia’s economic growth is still on an upward trend and the Financial System Stability (SSK) for the third quarter of 2025 remains stable.
“However, various global risks need to be continuously monitored, including the impact of United States (US) import tariffs, geo-economic confrontation, the trend of reshoring and friend-shoring, and the escalation of geopolitical tensions,” said Dave in a statement, quoted on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Dave conveyed this in his speech at the 2026 National Seminar with the theme “Dynamic Resilience: Maintaining National Development Stability Amid Global Uncertainty” which was organized by the National Discussion Forum (FDN) and the Central Executive Board of the Kosgoro 1957 Collective (PPK) at the IBI-Kosgoro 1957 Campus, South Jakarta.
The event presented several top panelists, including the Head of the Center for Strategic Policy for Specific Issues and Data Analysis (IKAD) at the BSKLN, Gita Loka Murti, Ambassador Nana Yuliana, Head of the Indonesian Representative Office for Cuba (2020-2025) and a cadre of the PPK Kosgoro 1957, and was moderated by the Director of Research and Development of Indo-Pacific Strategic Intelligence (ISI) and Senior Expert at the Geopolitics Deputy, National Defense Council, Ian Montratama.
In line with these conditions, said Dave KSSK, it emphasized the importance of strengthening synergy and coordination of policies between institutions to ensure that the SSK is maintained and at the same time encourage economic growth.
“From the perspective of international relations, the escalation of geopolitical tensions and geo-economic friction (trade wars, technology wars, fragmentation of supply chains) and competition for strategic resources (critical minerals, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence technology) are reshaping global competition patterns,” he said.
The General Chairman of PPK Kosgoro 1957 sees that this condition places developing countries, including Indonesia, under double pressure, maintaining domestic resilience while also maintaining bargaining power in the international arena.
In this context, the geopolitical concept of Bung Karno is relevant as a strategic framework because it places Pancasila as the basis for internationalism.
“Therefore, the President and ministers are increasing public trust and capacity, so that Indonesia continues to be a focus as an investment destination in development. The government is also carrying out transformations in several sectors and regulations to create a comfortable investment climate, which ultimately creates job opportunities,” he said.
