Daughter of writer Ahmad Bahar visits Komnas HAM, claiming inhuman treatment by GRIB

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - F (33), daughter of writer Ahmad Bahar, visited the offices of Komnas HAM and Komnas Perempuan in Central Jakarta on Thursday (21 May 2026). F’s arrival was accompanied by Gufroni, Chair of Research and Public Advocacy at LBH AP PP Muhammadiyah, and aimed to report alleged inhumane treatment experienced by F after being taken to the GRIB Jaya headquarters on Sunday (17 May 2026). She said there were actions deemed inhumane carried out by several GRIB members, including the General Chairman of GRIB Jaya, Hercules. According to Gufroni, they will relay a number of facts to Komnas HAM regarding the alleged treatment received by F while at the GRIB Jaya central headquarters. However, Gufroni did not detail the exact nature of the treatment experienced by the victim. He said more detailed information would be disclosed once there is security guarantees for the victim. He also said the victim experienced trauma after the incident. “She is very traumatised. If there is a car outside the house or unfamiliar people, she becomes very afraid,” said Gufroni. Earlier, the writer Ahmad Bahar’s house in Cimanggis, Depok, West Java, was visited by around a dozen people who claimed to be members of the GRIB Jaya organisation on Sunday (17 May 2026). The group arrived at around 14:00 WIB, seeking Ahmad Bahar’s whereabouts at his home. They wanted to ask about Ahmad Bahar’s TikTok content which was deemed to target the GRIB Jaya Chairman Hercules.
