Datacraft wins RI project

SINGAPORE (AFX-ASIA): Datacraft Asia Ltd said it has obtained a US$3.7 million contract from IPCO International Ltd to help the latter implement its internet protocol network project in Indonesia.

In building the infrastructure, Datacraft said it will deploy a switching technology capable of delivering critical applications at guaranteed bandwidths and speeds of up to 100 times faster than conventional networks in Indonesia.

The project will be finished early 2001, initially serving more than 50 commercial buildings in Jakarta's central business district.

Datacraft said the IP service will be available in most cities in Indonesia by end-2003.
