Data on Transitional Housing Needs in Aceh Continues to be Updated, Here's the Explanation from the PRR Task Force

The Task Force for Accelerating Recovery and Rehabilitation (Satgas PRR) continues to update data on the needs for Transitional Housing (Huntara) for disaster survivors in Aceh. Changes in numbers occurring in the field are described as part of the data adjustment process, not a form of inconsistency. The Head of the Regional Post of the Satgas PRR, Safrizal ZA, emphasised that data updating is carried out to ensure all affected residents receive their entitlements. He stated that this process is implemented with the principle of “No One Left Behind”, so no survivor is overlooked in the handling. Over time, residents who were temporarily evacuated are beginning to return to their original areas. This situation gives rise to new needs, including requests for the construction of Huntara in their previous residential locations. This approach is taken to avoid administrative obstacles that could potentially slow down handling in the field. With a flexible system, the recovery process is expected to proceed more quickly without having to wait for all data to be fully finalised. Therefore, data collection remains open as long as there are residents who need assistance. This step is taken so that services to the community do not stop merely due to technical administrative issues. This approach is expected to accelerate post-disaster recovery in Aceh. In this way, affected communities can soon have decent temporary housing while awaiting the completion of permanent housing construction.
