Dasco: Wage and Outsourcing Issues Can Be Reported Directly to the PHK Mitigation Task Force

Jakarta - Deputy Speaker of the House Sufmi Dasco Ahmad stated that issues concerning wages and the outsourcing system can now be reported directly to the Task Force (Satgas) for Mitigating Layoffs (PHK) and Worker Welfare.

Dasco conveyed this during a meeting with a group of protesting workers marking International Labour Day or May Day 2026 in front of the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday (1/5/2026).

He explained that the task force was established by the government together with labour unions to accelerate the handling of various labour issues that have often dragged on.

According to him, the presence of labour representatives within the task force will facilitate access to information and speed up responses to incoming reports.

Dasco revealed that several labour groups have reported that a number of companies plan to conduct layoffs in the near future.

“There are several companies that, within two months or three months, have plans for PHK. This has already been entered into the Satgas desk for Mitigating PHK and Worker Welfare to be anticipated immediately,” he said.

Dasco added that the government is also open to providing assistance to companies facing difficulties so that they do not lay off workers.

In fact, Dasco said, the government can take further steps if the companies are no longer able to survive.

“Earlier, the President also stated that if those companies are indeed facing difficulties, they will be assisted or even taken over if they are no longer able to operate, so that workers still have a place to work,” he concluded.

Previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto stated that he has issued a Presidential Regulation (Perpres) on the Task Force for Mitigating Layoffs (PHK) and Worker Welfare.

“Brothers and sisters. I have issued Presidential Decree Number 10 of 2026 on the establishment of the Task Force for Mitigating Layoffs and Worker Welfare,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo urged workers not to feel anxious because the government will defend the interests of workers.
