The finalisation of the P2SK Law is currently being conducted by the leadership of Commission XI, alongside the Economic and Financial Coordinator, and is expected to continue through tonight and tomorrow before being brought to a plenary session, stated Dasco at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/7/2026).

Dasco noted that the discussions regarding the P2SK Law have entered the final stage and are targeted for completion in the near future. He explained that this acceleration is necessary to avoid potential legal vacuums following the formation of Danantara through Law Number 1 of 202lar and Law Number 16 regarding State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

The Daily Chairman of the Gerindra Faction highlighted discrepancies in the regulations concerning the position of the Minister of Finance as a shareholder in State-Owned Enterprises. In the latest law, he noted, this provision is no longer regulated, whereas older regulations, such as the State Treasury Law, still identify the Minister of Finance as a shareholder.

“For that reason, the House of Representatives (DPR RI) deems it necessary to harmonise regulations through an omnibus law scheme covering several important regulations, including the State Finance Law, the State Treasury Law, the Separated State Assets Law, and the Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) Law,” said Dasco.

“This must be resolved so that the laws do not operate in isolation, but are instead comprehensively harmonised,” he added.

The finalisation of the P2SK Law is expected to provide a strong foundation for strengthening the national financial sector. It is also intended to ensure regulatory consistency in supporting economic stability and the governance of State-Owned Enterprises.
