Dasco Responds as South Sulawesi Gerindra Cadres Push for Prabowo's Second Term

Gerindra Party’s Daily Chairman Sufmi Dasco responded to calls from South Sulawesi cadres urging President Prabowo Subianto to run for a second term in the 2029 Presidential Election. The calls were made during the Gerindra South Sulawesi Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) and the inauguration of seven District Executive Council (DPC) chairmen. Dasco stated that the party is currently focused on various preparations, including securing a victory for Gerindra in the 2029 General Election. “We are preparing for everything, for Gerindra’s victory in 2029 and other plans,” Dasco said in Makassar on Tuesday (4/8). He added that significant developments would occur for the party’s progress. At the event, five regional heads in South Sulawesi were among the seven DPC chairmen inaugurated by Dasco. Andi Irwan Aras, Chairman of Gerindra South Sulawesi, expressed confidence that the inclusion of these regional heads would strengthen the party’s position in their respective areas, hoping for better results than before.
